1925 Stone Mountain Half Dollar. NGC graded MS-65. Lovely shades of gold toning on the obv. the equestrian figures on the obverse depict, respectively, General Thomas J. "Stonewall" Jackson and General Robert e. Lee. Curiously, and a first on a U.S. coin, the thirteen stars around allude to the thirteen seceding Southern states that launched the nation into civil strife in 1861, not the original colonies (PCGS # 9378) .
Estimated Value $200 - 220.

Realized $236
