Great Britain. Decimal Pattern Halfpenny, 1859. Peck-1981 (listed as Very Rare). Freeman-686 (rated R 18). By L.C. Wyon. Victoria. Bust of Queen in royal diadem facing left. Reverse: Britannia seated. This is indeed a very desirable item, originally produced alongside other pieces when the decimalization of Britain's currency was mooted in the 1850's. A beautiful bronzed proof finish with only the tiniest of die or metal imperfections. PCGS graded Proof 63 Brown.
