Constantine I, 307-337 AD. Billon Argentius, struck 318-319 AD., Trier mint. Very Rare. Military bust left: Constantine draped and cuirassed, with crested helmet, spear on shoulder. Reverse: Two Victories holding oval shield, inscribed VOT. P. R, over altar. RIC 208a; RSC 643. Sharply struck, attractive type -- the devices in surprisingly high relief for this period. The billon toned, and remarkably well preserved. Choice Very Fine.
