Maximinus I, 235-238 AD. AR Denarius, Rome, struck 236-237 AD. Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust right. Reverse: Victory left, holding wreath and palm, bound captive at feet left. RIC 23; BMCRE 187. Bold portrait, but reverse center a little weak. Lustrous fields, lightly toned. Attractive, little less common type. ICG graded AU-58.
