1836 Capped Bust Half Dollar. Lettered edge. NGC graded AU-53. Last of the old-style bust halves, a venerable design used from 1807 until 1836 with lettering on the edge that reads FIFTY CENTS OR HALF A DOLLAR. Nicely toned; lustrous (PCGS # 6169) .
