Lot 1326

1890-CC $20 Liberty. PCGS graded MS-62. Nice light orange toning. While the 1890-CC is the most available Carson City double eagle, it is generally available only in circulated graded; on up into to the lower grades of Mint State it becomes much scarcer. However, any coin that grades MS62 still qualifies as a Condition Census coin. Only a few MS63s have been certified by PCGS (none by NGC). Sharply struck, including the often weak stars, there are a few small marks scattered about with some nice orange patina in areas. An outstanding 1890-CC double eagle and a coin that is sure to please the next owner as much as it pleases us to describe it for you. Pop 35; 5 in 63; none finer at PCGS. (PCGS # 9014) .
Estimated Value $7,500 - 8,000.
