1856 $20 Liberty. PCGS graded MS-62. Well struck with light orange toning. Smoothly frosted, as befits a coin in which the surfaces are awash in rich reddish-gold color. This is a nicely struck example exhibiting fine detail to all the high points and star radials. The scarcity of this date is quickly revealed in the statistics: Pop 8; 3 in 63; none finer at PCGS.
