Lot 1296

1851. PCGS graded MS-62. Well struck and frosty. Light even gold toning. A few minor obverse hairlines and some minute spots on the face and obverse field. There is a lovely interplay between yellowish to orange-gold and reddish colors that give this the eye appeal of an even higher grade. Devices as "sharp as a two-edged sword" on all stars as well as Liberty's hair waves and hair bun. A strikingly beautiful matte-finish coin for the grade. Pop 30; 13 in 63; 2 in 64. (PCGS # 8904) .
Estimated Value $8,000 - 9,000.

Realized $10,925
