Pair of Late Empire Flasks. Roman, c. 4th to 5th century AD. The larger in a light green glass, the other a pale green. Both free-blown with long funnel mouth on sharply ovate or globular bodies. The largest with cut and ground rim; the smaller's fire polished. Largest with a few minor chips and nicks to rim, otherwise choice, with translucent to transparent iridescence, in colorful greens, magentas, blues and violets. The other intact and perfect, with softer speckled silvery to purple iridescence. Heights: 5-3/8"; 4-1/4". A good lot. Lot of 2 items.
