Elegant Sprinkler Bottle with Pinched Ribbing. Roman Syria, 3rd to 4th Century AD. Bottle blown in pale green glass -- with wide flattened rim, neck with internal constriction, and piriform body with segmented ribbing formed by pinching. Vessel with thin, transparent silvery to multicolored iridescence. Intact and perfect. Very attractive for its class. Cf. Ede, Collecting, no. 304a for like example. Height: 3-3/8"; on custom stand.
