Attractive Footed Beaker in Green Glass. Roman Syria, c. 3rd to 4th century AD. Blown in a light green glass, this cup with a slightly flared, rounded rim, and tapering body on short-stemmed, folded foot. A trailed thread of darker green encircles the waist. Intact and perfect, with etched, soft to vivid iridescence in reds, greens, and purples, with areas of bright silver. Height: 3-1/2". A pleasing, well-shaped example of type.
