A Rare Pyxis, in Amber Brown Glass. Roman, perhaps Italy, 1st Century AD. The blown barrel-shaped body with folded ring foot base and ridged shoulder. The mouth raised, with rounded inward rim. The vessel interior with thick creme-multicolored patina/iridescence, mostly detached and loose yet still with areas finely colored and bright that make the glass look like lustrous gold metal. Intact and perfect. Height: 2-3/4". Different and rare!
