Autograph Letter Signed, "J Ruskin," as first Slade professor of fine arts, 1p, 7"x4½", Brantwood…Lancashire, 1875 Sept. 22. Good; toned around edges from previous framing; laid to board. To Robert Rawtone, in part: "…I wrote in that tone to try you….put what you have to say as shortly as you can: and remember that in opinions about liberty - independence &c. we are very nearly in direct antagonism…."
