Revolutionary War Style British Uniform From "The Patriot." Five-piece, red, white, and blue wool and cotton uniform issued to the set of the 2000 production of The Patriot, for use by an actor portraying a British soldier. The knee-length pants and the vest are white with plain gray buttons; the white cotton shirt has one plain gray button. The three-quarter length coat is red with navy trim; the gray buttons are stamped with a crown and "GR." Each piece is marked inside, "SONY #64." Accompanied by a black, tricornered hat with white trim and braid. This uniform was originally acquired from the set by the costumer and has been stored in wardrobe archives since the production was completed. The Patriot starred Mel Gibson.
