Hayworth, Rita and Red Skelton. Original 10"x8" artist's proof, taken by photograph Joseph Jasgur in 1944 at the Hollywood Canteen. With Jasgur's backstamp and copyright date on verso. Fine; name tape and number at lower right. This famous World War II photograph of Rita Hayworth feeding Red Skelton appeared in Life, Look and Stars and Stripes magazines. The stars frequented the Hollywood Canteen to raise the morale of the troops. Joseph Jasgur was a Hollywood photographer who took many photographs of the celebrities at the Canteen. Proceeds from the sale of this photo will go to the American Red Cross Victims' Relief Fund for Hurricane Katrina.
