O'Day, Molly (1911-?) Actress in silent films and early talkies; she was voted a WAMPAS Baby Star in 1928. Tying to meet the demands of the studios to slim down created problems for her career and her health. Three Edwin Bower Hesser original vintage photographs, one with Hesser's signature at lower right; it is 16¼"x13¼" and is a left-profile, bare-shouldered shot of Miss O'Day. On the back is "Wampas"; this photo was probably taken for that award. There is some lower edge damage, a crease at upper right, and a couple of small discolored places on the image. The other two photos are 16"x13", with no photographer's stamp and "Out" on the back.; one small corner crease, else fine.
