Murray, Mae (1889-1965) A dancer in the 1910s with the Ziegfeld Follies, publicized as the "Girl With the Bee-stung Lips," she signed a screen contract in 1915. Her last film was in 1931. After marryng a Ukranian prince (husband No. 3), she felt that she was better than the work being offered her; Hollywood subsequently ignored her. Two Edwin Bower Hesser original vintage photographs. One is 12¼"x9¼" on a 20"x15" mount which is signed by Hesser, just below the photo. The mount is toned and ragged at the edges, easily trimmed; the photo is fine and shows Miss Murray in a dramatic pose, wearing a hat. The other photo is 16"x13" with Hesser's backstamp; edge damage can be trimmed, hardly affecting the lovely, pensive pose.
Estimated Value $500 - 600.
