Eilers, Sally (1908-1978) Dancer and actress. She went from Mark Sennett's troup to being one of the busiest actresses in the early talkie ere; she was a WAMPAS Baby Star in 1928. While never a major star, she was popular through the 30s, then went to character roles, retiring in 1951. Edwin Bower Hesser original vintage 16¼"x13¼" photograph, signed by Hesser in red grease pencil at lower right. Back notes "Artists Proof / Property of Edwin Bower Hesser / 5942 Hollywood Blvd…Not for Reproduction." It also notes "Wampas Baby Star 1928," making it probably the photo used for that honor. Upper right corner is cropped, easily matted out; otherwise, a lovely photo.
