Basquette, Lina (1907-1994) Actress and singer. She was featured as a ballerina in the 1916 San Francisco World's Fair, then played the juvenile lead in feature films. She became leading dancer for the Ziegfield Follies in 1923. In 1925, she married Sam Warner, one of the Warner Bros. patriarchs. Her best-known acting role was as the lead in Cecil B. De Mille's The Godless Girl (1929). Two Edwin Bower Hesser original vintage photographs, one 16¼"x13¼", the other 16"x13". No photographer's stamp. One has a crease at upper left corner; both have soiling in that area; otherwise, fine. Two splendid portraits.
