Banky, Vilma (1898-1991) Leading actress of silent movies, billed as "The Hungarian Rhapsody." She starred opposite Rudolph Valentino in The Eagle and The Son of the Sheik, but is best known for the five films in which she co-starred with Ronald Colman. Talking movies killed her career because of her heavily-accented English. Edwin Bower Hesser original vintage 16"x13" photograph with Hesser's backstamp. A lovely portrait of the Hungarian beauty. Minor corner damage, easily matted out.
