Collection of Celebrity Autographs. Approximately 120 signatures collected in Milwaukee and Chicago during the 1930s and 1940. There are stage and film stars, orchestra leaders, singers, and a few local celebrities. Most are on 2"x3½" white cards, with some on business cards; typed information on verso supplies the date and place obtained. The names include: Alice Faye, Helen Hayes, Jeanette MacDonald, Nelson Eddy, Hedy Lamarr, Art Shaw, Katherine Cornell, Constance Bennett, Dick Powell, Dr. Allen R. Dafoe (doctor of the Dionne quintuplets), Kay Kyser, Martha Raye, Marie Wilson, Red Skelton, Glenda Farrell, Colleen Moore, "Stepin Fetchit", Alfred Lundt, "Three Andrews Sisters" (in the hand of only one), John Garner (V.P. of U.S.), Clyde Beatty (wild animal trainer), and Booth Tarkington (author). All are housed in a zippered notebook. Some have mounting remnants on verso; very good to fine.
