Autry, Gene (1907-1998) Entertainer and businessman. As a cowboy singer and actor, he made 95 movies and starred in The Gene Autry Show on TV. After retiring from show business, he bought several television and radio studios, as well as the California Angels baseball team. Typed Letter Signed on engraved personal letterhead, 1p, 10½"x7", Los Angeles, 1973 June 19. Extremely fine. To James Ruddy at Bowers and Ruddy Galleries in Hollywood, thanking him "for the gift of the piece of sunken pirate treasure….I shall look forward to receiving the additional Mexican pieces.
