Alfonso XIII and Queen Victoria Eugenia (1886-1941) King and Queen of Spain; deposed by Franco in 1931. Three-quarter, seated Photograph of the King in uniform Signed and Inscribed, "To Mr. Sheldon Whitehouse. Alfonso HRH," below the 8½x6¼" photo, on the 13½x9" mount, which has an embossed crown at top. Photo by Kavlak, Madrid. Very fine. With a waist-length Photograph of the Queen Signed and dated, "Victoria Eugenia / Madrid, 1930" across the left side of her chest and arm, and inscribed "For Mr. Whitehouse" on the mount, which is 14½"x11¼"; a presentation photo by the London photographer, who signed at lower left. Minor foxing at edge of mount, else fine.
