Letter Signed as Register of the Treasury, 1p, 9¾"x7¾" (Washington City), 1806 Feb 4. Poor to fair; several fold splits need repair. To David Hoge, Register of the Land Office in Steubenville, asking for proof that payments have been made on land purchased by Josiah Updegraff and Samuel Brown. With Free Frank on address leaf (heavily toned), as well as two "FREE".stamps.
