Liszt" as Kapellmeister at the Court of Grand Duke Carl Freidrich, 4 pp, 8"x5", Weimar (Germany), 1856 Mar. 13. In German. Fine; minor soiling. To "Dear Friend," likely Liszt's publisher, about music matters: song corrections for "Englein hold im Locken Gold"; Berlioz' visit and concerts at which Berlioz conducted; the "Cellini" that Liszt conducted and Caspari sang the title role; and Cornelius' "Paternoster ."Likely performances for the season are "Raff's Dornrõschen, my Faust Symphony, Handel's Judas Maccabeus, andI Due Foscari of Verdi….Give my best regards to…the valiant defenders of consonance…." Nice musical content. With translation.
