Ancient Greece. Lot of Silver Coins, c. 325-150 BC. From Alexander the Great: tetradrachm of Side, c. 325-320 BC. (Price 2949), attractive portrait; a drachm perhaps from Sardes or Miletus; and a fascinating Celtic fourré of his drachms, of good style, thickly plated and showing minimal core. Also Histiaia, a pleasing tetrobol of usual type. Plus an Achaemenid "dagger & bow" siglos. Also, 3rd century BC., Attic tetradrachm, on usual lumpy flan. Lastly, a denarius of Antoninus Pius, Fortuna reverse. Worth a close look. Lot of 7 coins.
