Roman Empire. Lucilla, daughter of Marcus Aurelius. AR Denarius, Rome, struck 164-166 AD. Draped bust right. Reverse: Draped figure of Venus left, holding apple and scepter. RIC 784; BMCRE 322. Dies starting to show some wear, but which impart a wonderful radiating luster to the fields. Some faint hints of gold to russet toning. Pleasing. ICG graded AU-55.
