Roman Empire. Trajan, 98-117 AD. AR Denarius, Rome, struck 107 AD. Laureate bust right, drapery at far shoulder. Reverse: Spes advancing left, holding flower. RIC 127; BMCRE 319. Sharp strike, well centered. With most of original "find patina"intact -- a fairly even matte deep gray with a few small patches of brown. ICG graded EF-45.
