Republican Rome. AE Aes Grave Quadrans, 225-217 BC. On raised background, head of Hercules left, in lion skin; three pellets behind. Reverse: Prow of ship right; three pellets below. Craw. 35/3; T-V 54; Haeb. pl. 18, 1-9. Variegated dark to light green patina; some toned coppery areas. Pleasing example of type. Nice Very Fine.
