Bactria. Diodotos I, in the name of Antiochos II of Syria, c. 255-235 BC. Gold Stater (8.35 g), Mint "A" (near Al Khanoum). Diademed head right. Reverse: Zeus advancing left, aegis over arm, brandishing thunderbolt, N at left, eagle below; name and title of Antiochos at sides. Sharp and lustrous. Rare without usual test cut at head. Choice Extremely Fine.
