Macedonian Kingdom. Alexander III, the Great, 336-323 BC. AR Drachm (16.53 g), Magnesia ad Meandrum mint. Struck c. 325-323 BC. Head of Herakles right, in lion skin headdress. Reverse: Zeus enthroned left, holding eagle and scepter; ΣIP monogram beneath hand of Zeus, ΛT monogram beneath throne. Price 1970. Sharp, with light iridescent toning in the recesses. Very lustrous. Nice Extremely Fine.
