Great Britain. Crown, 1601. S.2582. Elizabeth I. Sixth issue. Mint mark 1. Fully round and well centered on a superb large flan. A delightfully portrait is complemented by a light blue mottled toned. No die cracks, metal flaws, flan cracks, double striking, or weakness of striking common to this rare issue. This is truly one of the nicest Elizabeth I Crowns we have ever seen- possibly the nicest, and far superior to the Slaney specimen, the Marshall specimen, and other rival pieces which have come onto the market in recent years. NGC graded AU-50.
