Lot 2511

1882-CC $10 Liberty. NGC graded AU-58. Well struck with bright yellow gold luster and quite frosty in appearance. Only 6,764 coins were made and most pieces appearing on the market today are in much lower grades. Walter Breen states that this issue is "prohibitively rare above EF". We totally agree as virtually the entire mintage was immediately placed into circulation and recieved considerable usage. NGC reports 33 in this grade with only 1 better as MS-62.
Estimated Value $10,000 - 12,000.
