1856-S $10 Liberty. PCGS graded AU-53. Well struck with some luster visable. Pop 24; 38 finer. Collectors just love these early S-mint gold eagles. Only the 1854-S can be said to be plentiful; dates following become much scarcer, which is particularly true in About Uncirculated quality and above (PCGS # 8621) .
