1799 $10 Capped Bust. Small obverse stars. PCGS graded MS-62. Pleasing frosty luster graces satiny and lively golden surfaces on this Mint State 1799. Varying hues of gold, sometimes greenish, but now and then making the transition to reddish, mingle broadly with rich gold iridescence. An attractive MS62 that wears its bold strike proudly. Minor crumbling of the die edge occurs above the top two stars on the left, a characteristic of this particular small obverse stars die. Consider it a win-win situation! PCGS reports 15 at this level with 8 in MS-63 and 6 in MS-64 as finest (PCGS # 98562) .
