1891, $2 Silver Certificate. Fr-246. The William Windom design; Windom was a firm supporter of "honest" gold-backed money at a time in our history when the inflationists and silverites were at loggerheads with the Eastern "hard money" banking establishment. He died in the early days of the 1890s and was awarded a spot on this silver certificate -- something he would have been aghast to see! PCGS graded Very Fine 20.
