Lot 2051

1893-S Morgan Dollar. NGC graded EF-45. Original toning. A well preserved example of this desirable key date. Not only is the business strike mintage of 100,000 pieces the lowest in the series, but it is unchallenged in its rarity in Extremely Fine and higher grades. There is a small area of contact along the jaw line as well as some old hairlines in the upper face and through the lower hair curls into the nearby field, but there are no other abrasions that we find need mentioning. Pleasing example for this key date (PCGS # 7226) .
Estimated Value $8,000 - 9,000.

Realized $10,350
