1854-D $1 Gold Liberty. NGC graded AU-55. 1854-D is the rarest of the type one Liberty Head gold dollars, both in terms of mintage, a mere 2935 pieces, and in the number of specimens known, estimated by experts at little more than 100 or so. The present coin is untoned with a better than average strike. Pop 7 with 55 finer.
