Orange cover with "Series Created By: Gene Rodenberry…Third Revision April 17, 1967." The guide gives general guidelines and history that all upcoming scripts must follow, plus information on the permanent characters, the transporter, vessel, and computer, the crew, the weapons of the crew and of the ship. Bio and character profile for "Captain James Kirk" says in part: "…Although Kirk often solicits information and estimates from Spock, never does the first officer act as Kirk's brain….Aboard the ship Capt. Kirk has only a few opportunities for anything approaching friendship, one exception being Spock, a strange friendship based upon logic…." Unsigned, very rare, and in excellent condition.
