Talmadge, Norma (1893-1957) Silent movie star drama queen. At her peak, she was second in popularity only to Mary Pickford, earning $10,000 per week and receiving as many as 3,000 fan letters a week. Original vintage 14 x 11 in. photograph by Edwin Bower Hesser, with photographer's imprint on verso. A lovely, chest-up portrait, lightly sepia-toned, of "The Queen of Versatility." This photo has been in storage for 40+ years, since Hesser's death.
