Dean, James. 14 x 11" black and white photo by Sanford H. Roth. A shot of James Dean on the set of Giant. Photographer's stamp is on the verso, with a typed explanation of the scene taped to the back. The photo shows Dean rehearsing with Rock Hudson and others. In the scene, Dean, as Jett Rink, is backing out the door of the Reata Ranch, where he worked as a hand, after turning down an offer for a small parcel of land left him by the late woman owner. Oil is discovered on his land and he becomes wealthy. Giant, Dean's third and final movie, was filmed in summer and early fall of 1955 and released in 1956, after his death (September 30, 1955).
