Valentino, Rudolph - Signed Self Portrait (1895-1926) Silent-screen legend who died of acute appendicitis at the age of 31. Pencil and Charcoal Self Portrait Signed by Valentino, no date, 19 x 16 inches. The sultry-eyed Valentino drew himself dressed in a soft white jacket and cravat, and signed in pencil at lower right. The large signature measures almost six inches. There are a few small scratches on Valentino's face and in the upper background, which can be retouched, and a dampstain in the upper right corner, not affecting the image. Housed in a 25 x 23 inch wooden frame. An extremely rare Valentino memento.
