(Monroe, Marilyn) - Lace Cocktail Purse and Matching Gloves. Beige lace purse and gloves that belonged to and were used by Marilyn Monroe. One small soiled area on purse; inside lining has a few stains from wear. Accompanied by two Certificates of Authenticity: one from Marilyn's foster sister and childhood friend, Eleanor "Bebe" Goddard, stating that the purse and gloves were used by Marilyn and "were left with my stepmother and Marilyn's legal guardian, Grace Goddard and my father 'Doc' Goddard. They were stored with other possessions of hers, which I found at my father's house after his death"; and the second from Hollywood Prop Supply, signed by president Mark D. Sullivan.
