Autograph Document Signed in the text as quartermaster general, n.p., January 23, 1783, 3½ x 8 in. Pickering writes a receipt for forage rations, beginning: "Received of Tim. Pickering QMG…" Joseph Firklingun, 1st Regiment Massachusetts, signs that he received the rations. Pickering was quartermaster general from 1780 to 1785.
