(Roosevelt, Franklin D.) James Montgomery Flagg Campaign Poster. Poster created by famed illustrator James Montgomery Flagg in support of the 1944 reelection of FDR. Flagg uses the popular image of Uncle Sam, pointing at Roosevelt and saying, "I Want You F.D.R." The 21½ x 16½ in. poster was commissioned by the Independent Voters' Committee of the Arts and Sciences for Roosevelt. It was designed with a strip of adhesive along the top and bottom, allowing it to be affixed to a store window, facing out; this example was never used so the adhesive is intact. The poster has flawless colors and is in excellent condition.
