"Peru" by John Ogilby, c.1670. Hand painted map documenting the Peruvian coastline and Tropic of Capricorn. The ornate cartouche in the upper left is beautifully hand-colored in golden yellow, blue, green and touches of red. The border and coastline is a light yellow. Museum matted and framed to an overall size of 25.5 x 21.5". Reverse print is slightly visible in spots, but in no way affects prints adversely. Fine.
