1861, 10¢ dark green, First Design, . Scott 62B. A rare and intriguing cover, choice intense color, used in combination with 1¢ Blue #63 and both tied by New York double circle target duplex cancellation on a November 1861 folded letter to San Francisco CA, the 1¢ paying the carrier fee, ms. "Pony Express/Overland via St Joseph Mo." at top left with the "Pony Express" part deleted by additional ms., the accompanying certificate states this is a "bootlegged" (carried out of the mail) usage to San Francisco, Fine, with 2004 P.S.E. certificate.
