Lot 837

1858 Flying Eagle Cent. Small letters. PCGS graded MS-64. A scarcer variety of this classic small cent type. Bright golden and tan surfaces have hints of reflectivity. A touch of strike weakness is noted on the eagle's breast feathers. There are no carbon flecks on either obverse or reverse. Shallow planchet roughness exists around the ERIC of AMERICA, a characteristic commonly seen on these planchets. The bases of AM of AMERICA do not touch on the Small Letters variety.
Estimated Value $800 - 900.

Realized $1,208
