Roman Empire. Septimius Severus, 193-211 AD. Gold Aureus (7.26 g), Rome, struck 201 AD. Laureate head right, drapery at left shoulder. Reverse: Severus in military attire left, sacrificing over tripod: RESTITVTOR VRBIS. RIC 167b; BMCRE 201. Nicely centered, good strike. Marks at edges -- probably once jewelry. Scarce. Very Fine / Fine.
