Roman Republican Coinage. c. 450-150 BC. Lot of Five assorted Aes. Including two struck pieces: a Semis -- Saturn head right / Prow right (Sear 2000, no. 766); Quadrans -- Hercules head right / Prow right, 3 pellets before (Perhaps Sear 2000, no. 1039). Aes Grave examples: Picenum, Hatria, a Semuncia -- H / AΣ (T-V 187); Etruria, Volaterrae, a Semis(?) -- Janiform head wearing petasos / Club, inscription around (cf. T-V 86, an As). Last, an irregular cast lump, almost resembling an astragalos, c. 5th century BC. (Sear 2000, no. 505). All with a variety of patinas. Close inspection recommended -- some rather nice, some scarce. Lot of 5 coins. Coins average About Very Fine.
